Clockwork Weave Earrings
A weave from the HyperLynks Chainmaille Artisan Collection. This weave gives the illusion of gears working inside a clock. It is a beautiful pair of earrings with a complex look despite the small size. They will be made as pictured unless otherwise described.
Pictured Item is made from Bright Aluminum and Bronze.
I weave each piece by hand, one ring at a time- individually opening and closing each ring to make every piece one of a kind. This means that anything you order is available in your choice of color(s) and any size. Each piece is not created until I have all available information from you, that way I can customize it to your liking so you get exactly what you are looking for. This is a wearable piece of handmade art, so while there will be potential for minor imperfections, I do my best not to scratch any rings used in your piece and to keep the look as clean as possible. I take great care to make sure every ring’s closure is as neat as possible, this avoids any scratches and clothing snags that might be caused by your jewelry.
Please be as descriptive as possible when ordering: include any preferences for clasp type, earring hook, and chain style. If not provided, I will choose the option that I think works best with your finished piece. Feel free to use the "contact us" page if you need to include more information. If you would like something that is not pictured, please contact me for information on if it can be done for you and pricing to do so.
Please keep in mind that due to differences in display settings, colors may show differently on different screens. Due to these variations, the actual shade may differ slightly from what you see pictured. Due to the anodizing process (the adding of color to the rings) there may also be slight variations in the colors if they come from a different batch or supplier. I order all of my materials from reputable suppliers in the US and Canada, despite variations, know that you will be receiving a quality product.
Measuring for your Earrings
How to choose the right earrings length: As with size, the right length of earrings vary by situation. In some cases, it is perfectly acceptable to wear a pair of long earrings.
However, in more conservative environments longer earrings can not only be distracting but inappropriate. With all the different earrings lengths out there, try this simple tip to make sure that you earrings aren't too long for situations where it is better to keep them short: Take your index finger and find the base of your ear, right at your jaw line.
Trace your finger down your jaw bone until you feel it angle. This point is the perfect earrings length for you. Anything longer may distract people from your face and what you are saying.
Certainly, big statement chandelier earrings can be fun and playful, especially if you are wearing an updo or have short hair. However, part of being stylish at all times takes the ability to make informed choices and know what is right, when. With this information you now know when, where and how to wear the right earrings size and length.
One last tip if you have a short neck: Women who have short necks have less physical space to between their ears and shoulders. This can cause long chandelier earrings to look awkward because they practically graze the shoulders and make necks appear even shorter than they already are. If you have a short neck, err on the side of caution and choose earrings with a modest length. By creating more physical space between your ears and your shoulders you will create the illusion of a longer neck. Not sure if you have a short neck? Without any strain or effort, drop your chin to your chest. If you can easily rest your chin on your chest (again, without any strain or stretching) you have a short neck.
